    Overview

    As a critical contributor to the Operations Team, the Maintenance Supervisor takes part in setting the agenda and executing the strategy of the Business Unit, holds responsibility for all site plant operations during their assigned shift and the activities of several adhoc teams. The Maintenance Supervisor will also enable their teams to achieve the Business Unit expectations in our People, Quality, Service and Cost Key Performance Measures. Located in Taber, Alberta.

  • Responsibilities
  • Applies theoretical understanding and practical knowledge of operations, repair procedures, trouble shooting and preventative maintenance to support electrical and mechanical facility equipment reliability
  • Ensuring compliance with company and regulatory food safety and quality standards
  • Ensuring service compliance to internal and external customers
  • Coaching, mentoring, training and development of teams and frontline staff
  • Conducting Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) compliance audits and behavior based safety observations
  • Role modelling for behaviors based on our PepsiCo Values and Leadership
  • Applying the guidelines and expectations indicated in the Employee Manual
  • Shared responsibility with department to manage financial plan
  • Shared responsibility with department managers to effectively manage Maintenance department processes and work flow
  • Leading regulatory and performance venues effectively
  • Ability to work with contractors and to ensure work place permits qualifications are met
  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Experience in a Production/Warehouse environment
  • Previous team leadership experience and demonstrated measurable results through others
  • Demonstrated commitment to team development and a strong team player
  • Understanding Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or equivalent software
  • Strong computer and systems skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Oracle, SAP, etc.) with a statistical and mathematical aptitude
  • Excellent oral and written communication, attention to detail, and problem solving
  • Flexible work schedule – willing to work off shifts and weekends
