Your Opportunity


As the Payroll and Benefits Advisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll processing and managing employee benefits programs.

Your attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and in-depth knowledge of payroll and benefits administration will be essential in ensuring accurate and timely compensation and benefits for our employees.


As the Payroll and Benefits Advisor, your leadership, authentic nature, and collaboration with this team will be vital in ensuring seamless payroll and benefits processes and providing support to other operational-related tasks as needed.


Your Scope:

Payroll Processing: Oversee the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries, bonuses, commissions, and other compensations for all employees.

Benefits Administration: Manage the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, short-term and long-term disability, and other voluntary benefits.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal and provincial payroll and benefits regulations, including tax withholding, reporting, and filing requirements.

Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve payroll and benefits-related issues, working closely with People Operations and Finance teams to address and rectify discrepancies.

Data Management:Maintain and update payroll and benefits data in the HRIS system, ensuring information is accurate and confidential.

Audits and Reporting: Conduct periodic audits of payroll records and benefits enrollments to ensure data integrity and prepare reports for management and regulatory authorities.

Leadership: Support a team of administrative professionals, with an authentic, approachable, and advisory style.


Your Qualifications:


  • Degree, diploma, or certificate in payroll, benefits administration, accounting, human resources or a related field.
  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in payroll and benefits administration, including a solid understanding of relevant laws and regulations.
  • Previous experience managing or leading a payroll or benefits team is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and HRIS systems, with the ability to adapt to new technologies and tools.
  • Preference with ADP is considered an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively interacting with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and handle employee concerns with tact and empathy.
  • High level of organization and time management skills, capable of meeting strict deadlines.
