Facilities Planner - Zealandia, Canada - Global Food and Ingredients In

Global Food and Ingredients (GFI) is a fast-growing Canadian owned and operated food and ingredients company.GFI's vision is to become a leader in connecting the global pulses and specialty crops supply chain, from origination through to value-added processing and distribution to the end user.
Reporting to the VP of Ingredients, GFI is currently looking for a Facilities planner who will be responsible for supporting our Zealandia facility on a full-time permanent basis.
Responsibilities:
- Be the first point of contact within the Facilities office during working hours to ensure phone calls are taken, queries are dealt with in a time and affective manner.
- Coordinate daily activity between the origination locations (Red plant, Green Plant, and Pea-Splitter) and the freight companies to ensure that the goods are shipped in a timely and efficient manner
- Ensure there is coordination and flow for both inbound and outbound shipments and customer compliance is met
- Assist in determination of solutions to interruptions in services of utilities
- Track daily shipments of delivery
- Enter data into GFI's system and third party systems (e.g CP Rail), this include weight, dockage, grade and other data related to shipments
- Maintaining internal logistics spreadsheets
- Work with equipment suppliers to book equipment, schedule equipment deliveries and coordinate as needed
- Support, schedule and coordinate the delivery of inbound products from farmers
- Working closely with suppliers, carriers and customers to manage shipments and contracts
- Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth execution and visibility of inventory movement and transfers
- Provide office administrative support as needed e
g :
assist HR at Corporate Division for any new hire paperwork / orientation documentation
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
- Reliable transportation to our Zealandia facility
- Minimum 1 year of administrative or logistics experience
- Understanding of pulses and specialty crops is an asset
- Detailoriented with the ability to understand the bigger picture
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment and adapt to change
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workflow
- Ability to complete tasks with a high level of organization, responsibility and efficiency
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work individually and as part of a team
- Proficiency in data entry, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
