Description

We are looking for a hard-working 2nd-to-5th-year plumbing apprentice/helper to assist with and perform emergency service on high-rise residential apartment buildings and commercial properties throughout the Greater Toronto Area.

Your main responsibilities will be assisting plumbers with service calls and keeping the shop clean and organized.

Familiarity with drain machines, threading equipment, hand tools, copper, cast iron, and steel pipe, and various plumbing fixtures is essential.

You must have a valid, clean Ontario class-G driver's license and your own vehicle. Occasionally, you will be asked to travel direct to job sites.


Responsibilities:


  • Be at our office every weekday morning between 7:00 and 7:15 am
  • Be on 24hour oncall emergency service for one full week every few weeks
  • Keeping our shop organized and tidy
  • Assisting plumbers with clearing and cleaning out drains of various sizes using drain machines
  • Assisting plumbers with removal and installation of water pipes, drain pipes, and plumbing fixtures (tub & showers, taps, toilets, etc.)
  • Experience with maintenance and repair of circulating pumps is a plus
  • Experience with maintenance, troubleshooting, and service of heating systems and boilers is a plus
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures

Qualifications:


  • Your own vehicle
  • Class G Ontario Driver's License with a clean driving record
  • Experience as a plumbing apprentice
  • Willing to work hard
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Salary:
$20.00-$26.00 per hour

  • Monday to Friday
  • On call
  • Overtime
  • Weekend availability
