Job Summary:


Financial Controller


Under the supervision of the Vice President of Finance, you will be responsible for managing the finances and accounting of the company.

You will directly oversee the accounting team.


Your challenges:


Accounting/Finance Aspect

  • Prepare and present monthly and annual financial statements. Responsible for the annual audit file.
  • Participate in hiring, supervising, and evaluating the staff of the teams under your responsibility.
  • Develop and implement management accounting reports to facilitate decisionmaking and problemsolving.
  • Build and manipulate financial forecasting simulation models.
  • Supervise periodic and annual inventory counts.
  • Monitor customer and supplier records.
  • Responsible for preparing the annual budget.
  • Analyze financial results and budget variances, then suggest corrective measures.
  • Participate in developing and implementing accounting procedures and internal control systems.
  • Manage special projects in improving business processes.
  • Manage the liability and group insurance file.

Production Planning Aspect

  • Ensure compliance with production schedules.
  • Coordinate between project management and the factory in managing priorities.
  • Create production planning tools.
  • Improvement, support, and training in the NAV software.
  • Analyze and approve development needs.
  • Manage service providers.
  • Develop new software to improve company performance (factory cost and schedule management, estimation, hardware lists, etc.) and ensure their implementation.

Your profile:


  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • Hold the CPA designation (mandatory).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting.
  • Team management experience in a leadership position.
  • Experience in a manufacturing context.
  • Experience in the construction industry (an asset).
  • Functional bilingualism (French, English).
  • Excellent knowledge and practical experience with Microsoft Suite tools: Word, Excel, Outlook, NAV.
  • Very good knowledge of management and production accounting.
  • Effective communicator at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities.
  • Analytical mindset and excellent problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent stress management and ability to perform well in a rapidly changing priority environment.
  • High level of integrity and professional ethics.

$90,000 to $110,000


Education and Certification:

CPA (mandatory)
