    The Opportunity

    Leavitt Machinery is looking for a motivated Sales Intern to join our team in Langley, British Columbia from June 3 rd , 2024, to August 23 rd , 2024.

    As a Sales Intern, you will play a pivotal role in augmenting the efforts of our Sales teams. This is an unparalleled opportunity to gain practical, hands-on sales experience within the rapidly growing machinery and material handling equipment industry.

    As a Sales Intern your key responsibilities will include:

    • Business Development: leverage sales skills for various lead generation and qualification projects
    • Market Research: perform research to identify prospective clients and emerging market trends
    • Client Engagement: interact with clients via phone, email, and virtual meetings to understand their unique requirements and to qualify their material handling equipment needs
    • Product Proficiency: develop a comprehensive understanding of our products and services to better understand potential customer needs
    • Sales Administration: support in compiling sales reports, drafting proposals, and creating presentations

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:

    • Current enrollment in a business, marketing, or related degree program
    • Exceptional communication skills and interpersonal skills
    • A keen interest in working in sales, coupled with an eagerness to learn about the machinery and material handling equipment industry
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
    • A self-starter with a robust work ethic

    The base pay for this role is: $18 per hour.

    This is an onsite role based in Langley, British Columbia.
