Credit & Collections Officer
Vault Home Credit Corporation DBA VaultPay is designed to ease the consumer financing transaction between our Partners and Homeowners. We offer customers total payment control with simple and easy financing options for Homeowners and their Home Improvement loans. We are looking for a motivated, Credit & Collections Officer to join our team. We provide a competitive salary, benefits plan and a fun and professional working environment. This Full-Time Position is Monday to Friday between 8:30am - 5:00pm PST.


Responsibilities:


  • Complete administrative activities associated with servicing customers, including accessing information and communicating transaction details
  • Monitor and maintain uptodate records for customer accounts and review those in arrears to ensure appropriate actions are taken
  • Notify customers of overdue payments and accounts, including followup if a reply is not received
  • Efficiently handle customer inquiries, including resolving payment disputes
  • Recommend further action when payment is not received including liaising with internal and external teams when necessary
  • Maintain reports related to customer delinquent activities
  • Assist with other tasks and duties as required

Qualifications / Requirements:


  • 5+ years of collections experience, preferably within the financial services environment
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in consumer underwriting in a financial services environment, combined with relevant postsecondary education with an emphasis on business and finance.
  • Strong understanding of personal credit bureaus (Equifax)
  • Associate's / Bachelor's degree is a plus
  • Indepth knowledge and understanding of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCP)
  • Strong knowledge of various collection techniques and procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft 36
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within tight timeframes while maintaining ongoing accuracy and attention to detail. Including strong time management and organization skills,
  • Excellent judgement and strong problemsolving skills,
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and procedures,
  • Excellent verbal, written and communication skills,
  • Positive attitude, highly motivated and ability to work well independently and in a team
environment.
