Status:
Part Time - Temporary for approximately 3 months, with possibility of extension


Core Function:


Provides centralized support to all long term care homes in calling in and replacing staff during evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays, according to established procedures and shift scheduling guidelines.

Ensures timely updates to local centres and maintains both computerized and manual staff scheduling/timekeeping records.


Qualifications:


  • Completion of College secretarial program, or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year clerical or secretarial experience; Experience with scheduling in an unionized environment an asset
  • Good typing and accurate data entry skills
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Access) required; knowledge of Chinese wordprocessing, time and attendance system an asset
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to engage others in a pleasant, positive and professional manner
  • Effective time management and organization skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and also as part of a team
  • Relevant satisfactory work performance

Working Condition:


  • Must be able to work evenings, nights, weekends and statutory holidays
  • Incumbent will primarily work from home with internet connection and occasionally attend meetings on site
