Job Summary:


As HR Generalist, you will be responsible for providing advice, counseling and tactical support on a variety of programs and activities covering multiple HR focus areas including employee relations, labor relations, performance management, onboarding and employee engagement.

This position reports directly to the Canadian HR Leader, and works closely with our HR Centers of Excellence.


Responsibilities include:


  • Coach and advise managers on talent management practices, answering questions and helping them navigate the performance management system
  • Collaborate with managers to develop and implement onboarding and engagement plans
  • Collaborate with members of the shared services team (administration of benefits and leave, payroll, etc.) to answer questions from employees
  • Monitor and ensure employment practices consistent to legislative requirements and enterprise policies
  • Support the roll out and adoption of enterprise and region people strategies
  • Liaise with third parties as required

Qualifications:


  • Minimum experience: 37 years of broad generalist HR experience
  • Bachelor's degree with focus on human resources, labor / industrial relations, management, psychology, finance, business or related discipline
  • Bilingual in French and English (oral and written) is a plus, but not required
  • Knowledge of legislation that impacts the employment relationship
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to speak professionally, positively and courteously at all times with all customers, vendors, visitors and employees.
  • Experience in supporting corporate organizations
  • Detailoriented, organized, with a strong sense of urgency
  • Ability to work independently and / or collaboratively with a team, with excellent project management
  • Selfmotivated with the ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks
  • Experience and knowledge of HRMS and other HR systems preferred; PeopleSoft experience a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
