As HR Generalist, you will be responsible for providing advice, counseling and tactical support on a variety of programs and activities covering multiple HR focus areas including employee relations, labor relations, performance management, onboarding and employee engagement.
Responsibilities include:
- Coach and advise managers on talent management practices, answering questions and helping them navigate the performance management system
- Collaborate with managers to develop and implement onboarding and engagement plans
- Collaborate with members of the shared services team (administration of benefits and leave, payroll, etc.) to answer questions from employees
- Monitor and ensure employment practices consistent to legislative requirements and enterprise policies
- Support the roll out and adoption of enterprise and region people strategies
- Liaise with third parties as required
Qualifications:
- Minimum experience: 37 years of broad generalist HR experience
- Bachelor's degree with focus on human resources, labor / industrial relations, management, psychology, finance, business or related discipline
- Bilingual in French and English (oral and written) is a plus, but not required
- Knowledge of legislation that impacts the employment relationship
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to speak professionally, positively and courteously at all times with all customers, vendors, visitors and employees.
- Experience in supporting corporate organizations
- Detailoriented, organized, with a strong sense of urgency
- Ability to work independently and / or collaboratively with a team, with excellent project management
- Selfmotivated with the ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks
- Experience and knowledge of HRMS and other HR systems preferred; PeopleSoft experience a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft software: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
