    POSITION SUMMARY

The role of Technical Advisor Manager directly supports the company's mission to develop and deliver clean power plants that make 100% renewable energy a reality for the world. The Technical Advisor Manager is responsible for building and leading a world-class Technical Advisor team in North America. This team will be highly skilled, autonomous, and prepared to meet growing market demand through structured training and development. The TA Manager ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality wind turbine installation across multiple projects by providing strong leadership and technical oversight.

This role combines strategic planning with hands‑on leadership, driving compliance with Nordex standards, Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements, and supporting project timelines. The TA Manager serves as the primary point of contact for Technical Advisors, fostering continuous improvement, team development, and operational excellence through training programs, performance management, and alignment with global initiatives.

You will be directly responsible for managing and supporting Technical Advisors assigned to projects throughout North America. Your focus will be on enabling these advisors to deliver expert guidance during turbine installation and commissioning, ensuring adherence to Nordex standards and HSE requirements. Working closely with Construction Managers and project teams, you will help resolve technical challenges, coordinate resources, and maintain quality standards. While this role does not carry full accountability for project delivery, it plays a critical part in supporting successful execution and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, a background in electrical systems and power electronics, resource management experience, and excellent communication abilities. Success in this role requires the ability to lead effectively and work collaboratively across diverse teams and functions.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO

    • Ensure compliance with Nordex safety protocols and procedures during all operations.
    • Coordinate with functional areas to ensure Safety and Environmental compliance of the company personnel and subcontractors following federal, state, and local policies, practices, and procedures during project execution.
    • Ensure all team members and subcontractors receive necessary technical and safety training, and facilitate ongoing team development through training programs and career advancement opportunities.
    • Report to the Construction Manager on supervision activities, team performance, and project progress.
    • Coordinate and manage Technical Advisors and supervisors across multiple project locations to secure operational success.
    • Ensure alignment with Nordex global supervision standards by collaborating with international teams and facilitating knowledge transfer.
    • Manage risks and develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions during component deliveries, installations, and commissioning processes.
    • Develop and monitor departmental KPIs, ensuring performance meets strategic objectives.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support innovation within the Supervision department.
    • Plan and oversee training activities for Technical Advisors and supervisors, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and operational standards.
    • Identify skill gaps and implement development plans to strengthen technical and leadership capabilities.
    • Mentor and coach supervisors and Technical Advisors to build technical competency and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
    • Travel to project sites and customer meetings required (40% travel).
    • Other duties as assigned.

    WHAT YOU HAVE

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline required (or equivalent work experience in lieu of an Engineering degree); advanced degree a plus.
    • Minimum of 5 years of mechanical/electrical/construction supervisory experience; Wind Farm mechanical construction experience preferred.
    • Strengths will include excellent communication skills, organizational ability, and positive leadership traits, along with in‑depth knowledge and use of negotiation skills.
    • Extensive experience in quality management and quality control processes, with a strong background in Wind Turbine Assembly and installation.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications for project management and reporting.
    • Ability to dedicate significant time at wind farms during the construction process, overseeing and coordinating project activities.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively interface with customers, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
    • Demonstrated experience in WTG on‑site assembly and installation, with a deep understanding of mechanical and electrical components.
    • Ability to travel 40% of the time.
    • Fluency in English is essential, and French is highly preferred for work in Quebec; Spanish and German are assets.
    • Due to safety equipment operational specifications, must meet the weight requirement of 120 kg (265 lbs.) or less to safely utilize climbing equipment and climbing gear.
    • Must be able to work in Canada with no Company sponsorship.
    • Proven leadership skills, project coordination experience, and the ability to lead a team of supervisors effectively in a dynamic project environment. Experience managing technical resources.
    • Ability to prioritize work, multi‑task efficiently, meet deadline obligations, prepare reports, and outline best practice.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Commit to Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards.
    • Have a strong code of ethics and integrity.
    • Work in a diverse and fast‑paced environment.
    • Excellent organizational skills.
