This is an on-site role based out of Burlington office.
A Day in the Life:
- Mentor and train a team of inside sales representatives to build a robust, progressive, and motivated group focused on the execution of consultative and customer needs satisfaction selling techniques
- Drive revenue growth for the Genetic Analysis portfolio, specifically realtime PCR, Digital PCR, and Sanger Sequencing, to achieve sales targets and expand business within assigned geographies
- Communicate corporate strategy and help the team translate it to territoryspecific plans and actions
- Instill accountability for building and maintaining an active sales funnel and developing competencies using tools and reports to help guide territory planning.
- Recruit and hire highquality representatives who adhere to the Thermo Fisher values and can scale into other roles within the division
- Perform skill and performance assessments of individual representatives and drive accountability towards performance.
- Build and leverage relationships with appropriate channels and business units to drive team success and communicate market developments and challenges back to the business
Keys to Success:
Education:
- Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field or equivalent knowledge and experience
- Master's, MBA, or PhD degree is a plus
Experience:
- 5 years of consistent track record in sales (preferably with demonstrated ability selling into the genetic sciences market.
- Experience in inside sales and cold calling is an asset.
- Experience performing within a highly matrixed environment and collaborating with people with diverse abilities, personalities, and responsibilities
- Previous people leadership responsibilities preferred

- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence others by actively seeking to understand other's points of view and suggestions through questioning and active listening
- A positive outlook when faced with disappointments or adversity. Models accountability for performance within the area of control
- Must be able to travel to the US
