We are looking for a
Day Warehouse Associate to join our team in FreshPoint Nanaimo.

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the
Day Warehouse Associate, will be responsible for the overall product movement in the warehouse and freezers.

This includes entering the coolers and freezers to obtain products, assist in organizing inventory in the warehouse, conduct daily and monthly inventory counts, and more.

There will be frequent lifting of 30+ lbs or more and a requirement to work in cooler and freezer temperatures.

Responsibilities:

Efficient and accurate order picking of products and inventory in the warehouse
Assist in safely loading and unloading products on the receiving dock using power equipment such as a power jack
Move inventory in the warehouse using power equipment
Enter coolers and freezers to replenish inventory, move products in and out and to conduct daily and month inventory counts
Maintain a tidy warehouse and ensure cleanliness of work areas
Follow safe work procedures at all times and comply with food safety guidelines and requirements
Liaise with internal stakeholders for customer orders and verification of product availability and inventory counts
Maintain records and reports as needed by other departments including warehouse and sales
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Job Requirements:

Completion of high school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience working in food distribution, warehouse or equivalent considered an asset:
Prior experience operating power equipment considered an asset
Excellent communication skills and ability to converse with all levels of the organization
Effective time management skills
Frequent lifting of 30+ lbs or more
Required to work in the warehouse coolers and freezers with varying cold temperatures

Location:

4911 Wellington Road, Nanaimo, BC V9T 2H5. This role is required to work onsite.

Work Hours:

Fulltime, 40 hours per week
Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm
Requirement to work on Saturday per month due to monthend inventory count
Requirement to work on statutory holidays and overtime hours available
