The Position


Reporting directly to the People & Culture Manager, the People & Culture Business Partner will work collaboratively with MRG's leaders and hourly staff to drive and support the growth of an incredible team.

The RoleSupport the Manager, People & Culture on company-wide HR projects and help execute on HR initiatives being launched. Champion a culture of teamwork, inclusiveness, mutual respect and professionalism at all times. Build trusting relationships with MRG employee base in both western and eastern Canada. Develop, implement, and review new programs, policies and procedures ensuring its adherence to ESA, Human Rights code, WSIB/WSB and AODA. Act as the primary point of contact on human resource matters for employees,both hourly and salaried. Partner with key stakeholders to foster a high-performing work environment. Advise employees on issue resolution in conjunction with the Manager, People & Culture. Identify areas of the improvement relative to the employment lifecycle and recommend new processes and systems that will propel the HR function forward. Partner with people managers and department heads to execute HR programs. Guide the recruitment process, assisting with writing of job ad copy and postings, creative sourcing, resume screening, hiring and onboarding of staffKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesProfessional CHRP/CPHR designation 2-4+ years of professional working experience as HR Generalist focused role or 1 year of experience as Human Resource Business Partner role, ideally in a Hospitality, Concerts and/or Live Events Working Experience using ADP, LinkedIn, and Indeed considered an asset A kind person, with a great sense of humor Committed to your own personal development and learning A proven ability to collaborate with leaders to deliver results, acting as equal parts partner and coach from an Human Resources capacity Customer service mindset, with a focus on outstanding employee and customer experiences Organized with a high attention to detail An excellent executive presenceTerms & ExpectationsDue to the nature of the work, after hours correspondence may be requiredThank you for your interest in MRG.
