SPECIFICATIONS

Responsibilities include:

  • Pursuing research in a field relevant to the intersection of theology and public justice, theology and the common good, just transitions, and/or reconciliation
  • Hosting and facilitating public education opportunities for the wider King's community, which could include events like public lectures, workshops, offcampus courses, and podcasts
  • Teaching the equivalent of 2 undergraduate courses per year
  • Developing public research opportunities for undergraduate students, as opportunities arise
  • The King's University is a Christian liberal arts university offering three and fouryear Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees, a Bachelor of Commerce, a Bachelor of Music, and a twoyear afterdegree Bachelor of Education (Elementary and Secondary) accredited by the province of Alberta. The University is a member of Universities Canada and of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities. Faculty members at The King's University are eligible for and are currently receiving Tri-Council funding. The faculty at The King's University are recognized for involving undergraduate students in their scholarship, with some faculty members having obtained external funding. _
The King's University follows a standardized salary grid. The salary range for the position is $67,500 - $84,500/yr dependent on qualifications and experience. A comprehensive benefit package, pension, and generous vacation and time off are provided.
