The _Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO)_is responsible for the safe, long-term management of used nuclear fuel in Canada.
The approach it is implementing, known as Adaptive Phased Management (APM), involves developing a centralized underground repository, supported by a robust social and technical research program in collaboration with Canadian universities, consultants and international waste management organizations.

Reporting to the Director of IT, the incumbent is responsible for gathering requirements and finding solutions for ECM as well as identifying, analyzing, building, implementing, and maintaining key content, data, and information management initiatives.
It includes but is not limited to data and information asset inventories, requirements gathering, business analysis, business process mapping, business classification development & documentation, development and implementation of new Content Management processes, and providing guidance/expertise on the use of content.
This incumbent will also assist with implementing and developing corporate information, data, and content management programs.The role also includes evaluating, reviewing, and making recommendations on policies, procedures, practices, and technology solutions for creating, storing, and retrieving company records and information assets to meet evolving service delivery priorities of company divisions.

- Develop and implement the business classification scheme to support information, data and content tools and systems (ECM) including the writing of policies.
- Develop, implement, and enforce appropriate use of policies.
records creation, classification, filing, retrieval and indexing systems, retention scheduling, and vital records protection.
- Initiate, develop and recommend a governance solution for companyowned content across the multiple discipline, and any other collateral deemed as content.
- Business champion in the development, training and ongoing support and improvement of IT efficiencies and governance.
- Facilitate meetings and workshops, including business requirement sessions. Develop and deliver targeted training and awareness programs, and change management focused.
- Document, review and edit requirements, specifications, business processes and provide recommendations related to proposed solution.
- Provide time estimates to project manager to set budget.
- Develop schedules and timelines for implementation initiatives.
- Support ECM testing and UAT sign off activities.
- Liaise with internal and external technical staff to gather and define requirements, to create and maintain a consistent operational architecture for information, data and content.
- Develop and implement plans for integrating delivering content to intranets, extranets, portals, websites, document repositories, content management system and via other avenues.
- Collaborate with systems experts on hardware and software issues that affect the availability and accessibility of content.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions with project management. Continually seeking opportunities to increase business stakeholder satisfaction and manage stakeholder and user expectations effectively, while building trust with those relationships.
- Advise and engage in the design, development and auditing of physical and electronic records and information management systems for collecting, processing, storing, retrieving, and protecting records and information across the company.
- Work collaboratively with internal divisions and other stakeholders to understand information management issues from specific and general contexts, e.g., the context of a specific line of business (specific) and from a corporate service perspective (general).
- Recommend data structures, including records management forms, to ensure proper analysis, and capture of information assets and holdings.
- Actively engage in the development and implementation of new electronic records systems (EDRMS).
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- _4-year University education in information management or information technology, and equivalent combination of education and experience._
- A period of over 6 years and up to and including 8 years is considered necessary to gain this experience.
- Requires experience working with document/records management technologies, such as SharePoint, Open Text, Documentum, ProjectWise, etc.
