Agile Lead

Location:
Toronto, Ont

We are looking for an Agile Lead Master that can build high functioning teams in a complex IT environment.

The incumbent will gain a strong understanding about the product that the team is supporting as well as establish a good working relationship with the Product Owner and the Agile Managers that support the running of the team.

You are highly experienced in managing a Scrum team, an expert in understanding and executing the general principles and framework of Agile development and Scrum and can adapt and improve those principles where necessary to suit this organization.

The key to success is a team that runs smoothly with a good velocity whilst constantly focusing on delivering the highest business value possible.


You're great at:


  • Leading, coaching, and influencing the team to use the Scrum framework
  • Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution, valuing facetoface communication with business leaders, IT leaders, project team members and scrum team.
  • Helping the team to build quality high business value items at a sustainable pace.
  • Utilizing inspection and adaption to increase team velocity where possible.
  • Ability to create dashboards/information radiators with Azure DevOps and establish best practices for the EPMO to use across all Agile projects.
  • Supporting the Product Owner on grooming and maintaining the product backlog. Being open to changing business priorities whilst ensuring that any changes are driven by achieving greater business value
  • Deep understanding of metrics created by the tool such as burndown or burnup charts, cumulative flow diagrams, velocity, lead time etc. and being able to use the metrics to drive better and consistent results
  • Coaching both the business and the team on the benefits of a sustainable pace while integrating both project and business as usual work
  • Guiding the team on effective Agile estimation and release planning

You have:


  • Certified Scrum Master preferably Advanced CSM or PSM II
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in computer science or engineering
  • Experienced creating dashboards and queries in Azure DevOps or a similar agile management software tool with track record of using the data to improve results
  • Experience working with 3rd party technology vendors
  • Proven results of working with a Scrum team to establish and deliver the highest business value on a consistent basis within deadlines
  • Experience with DevOps and CI/CD
