Mac-Weld Machining Ltd. is seeking a CNC Operator to take on the task of sharing our vision locally and globally.

Skills & Responsibilities

Preparing and operating CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, milling and turning.
Understanding specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints and mechanical drawings.
Prepare and load raw materials and parts into the machines.
Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to maintain tight tolerances.
Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.
Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Proven experience as CNC operator and use of precision measurement tools is an asset.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
Mechanical and mathematical aptitude.
Strong communication skills.
Attention to detail.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

Manufacturing environment
Shift Work
Overtime
Exposure to dust, vibrations, noise
Standing for long periods of time
Repetitive tasks
Lifting heavy material up to 50 lbs.
Wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment
Tight Deadlines

This is a full-time day/evening rotating shift position in our Sarnia facility where the individual may be required to work weekends and overtime from time to time

Signing Bonus:

New employees will receive a signing bonus of $500 after successfully completing their three month probationary period, and $1000 after one year of continuous employment.

The employee must be on active payroll for the entire timeframe to qualify
