This individual will be part of the project team and tasked with understanding operational accounting processes and building documentation and templates that will test the results produced by these processes.

This position will work closely with the finance team, as well as interact with stakeholders from across the organization.

This is a dynamic role for someone with an accounting background that would like to explore the world of projects and system implementations.


Responsibilities:


  • Understand and document the billing and revenue and revenue recognition accounting processes
  • Create templates for validation
  • Participate in QA and operations readiness testing
  • Provide meaningful analysis, and indepth review
  • Ability to work comfortably with large data sets.
  • Provide supplementary & adhoc reporting / analysis as required.
  • Identify process improvements for existing and new processes
  • Partner with various individuals within finance and the business to improve control and efficiency
  • Risk & Control mindset.
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of Policy and Procedures to enhance Internal Controls.
  • Partners closely with training team to develop training curriculum and supports training with Operations teams
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field of study
  • Minimum 13 years of accounting / finance experience
  • Good understanding of IFRS
  • Ability to collaborate with others and develop strategies and solutions of high business value
  • Ability to work well with colleagues in a team environment, but also perform well independently with mínimal supervision
  • Detail oriented and strong analytical skills
  • Demonstrates a commitment to improvement, & provide / implement recommendations
  • Strong organizational & time management skills
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • Selfmotivated team player
  • Strong / Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong MS Access, SQL, experience with databases and data reporting/analytics would be an asset
