Squamish Nation consists of 23 villages and is comprised of descendants of the Coast Salish Aboriginal people who live in the present-day Greater Vancouver area, Gibson's Landing, and Squamish River watershed.

As an organization, we provide support to the greater Squamish Nation Community through service. With 12 departments with individual areas of expertise, we ensure Community Members have access to necessary programs and services.


About The Opportunity:


Working as an integral part of the Ta na wa Shéway i7x̱w ta Úxwumixw - Squamish Valley Operations Department, this position reports to Manager, Administration Services, this administrative position is responsible for providing a variety of administrative support to the Manager, Administration Services and Squamish Valley Operations staff.

Requires a broad range of office management skills and is well organized and requires strong interpersonal, technical/administrative skills, with exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills.

This position works primarily according to established policies and procedures but has some responsibilities that require independent decision-making.

The incumbent operates at a high level of membership interaction and must be able to respond with courtesy, tact and diplomacy.

Salary:
$ 42,148 - $ 46,260 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits program.
