Compugen is seeking a System Administrator for an initial 1 year contract working onsite.

Responsibilities:


  • Provide technical support / administration for Exchange 2010/2013 & 2016, O365, Skype for Business and Mobile device management (InTune)
  • Ability to build SCCM processes and automated Windows 10 environments
  • Performance/Availability/Capacity/Security monitoring and maintenance of server systems including but not limited to: Microsoft Server 2008/201
  • In depth understanding of Active Directory Infrastructure, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, IAS, Clustering services, Windows Security, deployment services, DFS and other Microsoft infrastructure services.
  • Knowledge of systems security and best practices.
  • Determine requirements, plan, and implement major product upgrades. Design presentations to management concerning technical issues and upgrades
  • Direct projects / teams comprised of IT technical experts and business representatives
  • Support monitoring systems that span the messaging infrastructure
  • Provide Systems Maintenance request and test plans. This includes making recommendations for standards
  • Quickly spot trends and accurately predict future requirements on assigned platform
  • Research, design, plan and coordinate server infrastructure upgrades, enhancements, improvements and/or newly required service deployments
  • Participate in operational and business critical projects through the scoping, planning, execution, and implementation
  • Analyze service incidents and problems, identify risks, provide recommendations, and implement solutions.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation and server infrastructure policies, standards and diagrams
  • Provide guidance in the completion of health checks and performance and capacity reporting.
  • Prepare detailed documentation and diagrams of the infrastructure.
  • Take ownership of all assigned tickets and drive to resolution; researching and escalating to vendor as necessary.
  • Enforce and follow Compugen ITSM policies, procedures and best practices.
  • Participate in the on call rotation and will require after hours work for planned changes and incident resolution, and provide expert level support to the IT Operations team

Qualifications:


  • A Computer Science degree or equivalent in realworld experience.
  • 57+ years of supporting Microsoft Exchange in an enterprise environment
  • 35+ years of supporting Microsoft Lync & Skype for Business
  • Experience in SAN migrations ("bare metal" to cloud)
  • Experience administering a Nutanix environment
  • Experience with Veeam software.
  • Experience with Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity.
  • A superior understanding of Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012 and VMware to be able to analyze and troubleshoot complex problems.
  • Expert level knowledge of Exchange and Lync
  • Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft clusters, Citrix, web farms, ISA, TMG and other systems security products.
  • Knowledge of Mobile Device Management
  • Ability to automate tasks and perform maintenance via PowerShell
  • Solid understanding of LAN and WAN networking
  • An understanding and experience setting up and utilizing disaster recovery solutions. SRM experience is an asset.
  • Experience managing SANs from companies such as NetApp, HDS, IBM, 3Par and EMC.
  • Experience with Cisco and/or Brocade fibre switches is an asset.
  • Highly motivated, selfstarter, customer centric, and the ability to work without supervision
  • Demonstrates flexibility in responding to unexpected demands. Contributes willingly during emergencies and other necessary situations during and/or after regular work hours. This position requires night and weekend work along with oncall
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent technical design and documentation skills and be able to mentor other team members and help with the design and build of various solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate complex ideas
