    Kepak is one of Europe's leading food producers, seeking a Knife Skills Operative to join our team at our Bodmin site. This role is crucial in ensuring our meat products meet high standards of quality and safety.

    We pride ourselves on our heritage of meat craft and trusted quality, with a focus on sustainability and animal welfare. Our 12 manufacturing plants across Ireland and the UK are dedicated to producing innovative, nutritious food products while remaining connected to our communities and the environment.

    Responsibilities

    1. Use knives and equipment to prepare and process meat products according to specifications, including breaking jaws, trimming, plucking, and processing offal.
    2. Ensure meat products are cut and trimmed to high standards of quality and safety.
    3. Maintain a clean work area and adhere to safety regulations.
    4. Meet production targets and collaborate with team members for timely completion.
    5. Properly store and handle meat to prevent waste and spoilage.
    6. Perform quality inspections to ensure standards are met.
    7. Continuously improve knife skills and meat processing techniques.
    8. Work at height (training provided).

    Work hours are from 06:30 until production completion, Monday to Friday, with weekends off. The role is full-time, based on 45 hours per week, with overtime paid at time & a quarter. You will have two 30-minute breaks daily.

    Starting pay depends on experience, beginning at £12.44 per hour, with potential to increase up to £19.44 per hour as skills develop.
