Job Summary:

The Intern, Business Development will help coordinate B2B initiatives within the Canadian Cannabis market for Tilray Brands.

This role will support on-boarding and transactions with Licensed Producer customers from both a wholesale cannabis biomass (in all forms) as well as offer co-manufacturing for final and semi-finished cannabis products to both Licensed Producers as well as on behalf of Cannabis Brands.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Assisting both the Director of Businesses Development and Manager of Business development on prospecting new customers for both wholesale and comanufacturing cannabis business.
  • Assist in the daytoday management and interface with existing B2B customers
  • Interfacing with the BI (Business Intelligence) team and coordinators for the recreational and medical sales teams about existing and new customers, providing all relevant product details to ensure products are submitted ontime to respective provincial cannabis boards
  • Work with outside agencies for imaging, GS1 registration, and other product setup tasks, in tandem with other internal resources
  • Working with Tilray Project Management colleagues, act as the comanufacturing business SME (Subject-MatterExpert) to ensure a smooth flow of information between Tilray and customers (Stakeholder management)

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Enrolled in 3rd or 4th year University program in related field
  • Experience engaging with customers is an asset
  • Problem solving and solution oriented individual
  • Curiosity to discover ways of collecting and translating consumer data into actionable decisions that directly influence the products we launch and partners we engage with
  • Solutions oriented thinker who views challenges as opportunities
  • Ability to work independently and a fastlearner
  • Experience in PowerPoint, Word, Excel and basic Microsoft office programs
  • Ability to travel 1020% of the time each month
