The Manager, Production Control is responsible for overseeing the Production control planning activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, optimizing resource utilization, and providing leadership to the production control planning team.


  • Increase the work accomplishment rate at all stations for overall operational efficiency.
  • Lead process improvements by reviewing any missed opportunities to avoid recurrence.
  • Define new maintenance opportunities and develop these opportunities with all support groups.
  • Work in congruence with Operational Managers to define and document cross departmental processes.
  • Oversee and develop a team to ensure a consistent product is being delivered to maintenance at all stations.
  • Liaise with Operational Planning and the Line Maintenance stations daily to determine station concerns or capabilities to drive a better longterm product.

Accountabilities (Responsibilities):


  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and processes in accordance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Work closely with maintenance, engineering, and logistics teams to ensure effective coordination of maintenance activities and availability of required resources and qualifications.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the production control planning team, ensuring that team members have the necessary skills and resources to perform their roles effectively.
  • Develop and implement training programs for production control planning personnel to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including schedule adherence, and resource utilization, and develop plans to address any deficiencies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as Reg compliance and Safety teams to ensure effective coordination of activities and compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Be accountable for the Production Control performance against Corporate goals
  • Develop and Oversee a Local Station and Regional Station plans for Work Accomplishment
  • Define the Aircraft Maintenance work scope developed and hold Operational Planning accountable for following it. Handle any issues or escalations as required.
  • Drive changes to achieve new business tactics and strategies in order to minimize the cost and optimize the station performance.
  • Provide direction to Maintenance through meetings with production, materials, and other departments to ensure they are briefed on check contents and expectations.
  • Lead postcheck analyses to ensure that any problems encountered during check are corrected. Ensure work hours and materials spent during check are properly reflected in the planning system for future visits.
  • Maintain a 30day window of maintenance resources and qualifications.
  • Focus on low point in schedule to maximise Training opportunities for Mtce personnel.
  • Accountable for recognizing, developing and engaging talent in order to achieve high level of performance and to breed success.
  • Proactively review upcoming Line Maintenance schedule changes that will require Operational Planning's awareness to change planned work in advance (training, vacations, etc) to avoid any operational gaps.
  • Liaise External Vendors to ensure the plan delivered to Mtce has all the requirements to be accomplished this may include, but not limited to: Material mgmt, tools mgmt, resources, corporate downtime, Catering Services, Grooming Services, Fuel Services, 3rd Party Vendors for NDT,
  • Fuel Tank Entry, Boeing/Airbus AOG Services.
  • Carry out quarterly visits to all regional stations.
  • Ensure the implementation and followup of all Health & Safety policies and initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Maintenance or 5+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance production control planning or related field
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft maintenance regulations, standards, and procedures
  • Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced, deadlinedriven environment
