When the hotel opened in 1929 it was the tallest building in the British Common Wealth and contained 1,048 rooms, a concert hall, library, extensive bakery, radio station and even a hospital.
Today, this essential downtown landmark has completed a multi-million dollar transformation, reimagining its lobby, rooms, dining venues, event spaces, and Fairmont Gold - the property's exclusive hotel within a hotel luxury experience.
Another stunning chapter for Fairmont Royal York has begun.Reporting to the Food & Beverage Stores Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Move stock from receiving area to stores and kitchens.
- Rotate, store products with date stamping.
- Ensures accurate and prompt distribution of products to all departments through staff supervision and performance.
- Maintains accurate documentation of all issues for reporting purposes.
- Fill requisitions inventory to maintain minimum/maximum pars.
- Use of the BirchStreet system for the reorder, issuing and receiving process.
- Daily cleaning of stores.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
- Ability to lift 20kg weights on a continual basis during receiving process.
- Previous experience in food or hospitality industry preferred
- Complies with all Health and Safety regulations
- General knowledge of food and beverage specifications, quality standards and receiving practices

Must provide proof of eligibility to work in Canada.
