    Role Description

    This is a full-time on-site role as a Renewable Energies Sales Engineer at Hydro Solar Innovative Energy located in Montreal, QC. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for day-to-day sales activities related to renewable energy systems, including solar thermal, solar hybrid, Geothermal Liquid Source Heat Pump, air to water heat pumps and other sustainable technologies. You will collaborate with clients to assess their energy needs, provide technical expertise, and offer customized solutions to meet their requirements. Additionally, you will maintain relationships with existing customers, prospect new clients, and keep up to date with industry trends and advancements.

    Qualifications

    • Experience in the renewable energy industry, particularly in solar energy and geothermal energy.
    • Knowledge of renewable energy simulation software such as Polysun, Transys, RetScreen, etc...
    • Knowledge of HVAC Load Calculation software and Building Envelope Heating and cooling simulation software such as Elite CHVAC, Open Studio, etc...
    • Understanding of the energy industry and its market dynamics.
    • Strong sales and negotiation skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to analyze client needs, by carrying on energy audit and providing tailored solutions to reduce energy. consumption and green house gas emission.
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, energy management, or a related field.
    • Experience with hydronic solar solutions and energy-efficient building practices is a plus.
    • Experience with Technical Proposals preparation (quotation, design schematic, power points, canva, etc...).
    • Candidate must be bilingual in both french and english.
    • Candidate must be either a permanent resident or Canadian citizen.
    • Candidate must have an engineering degree (MBA is a plus) from a Candian University (ideally McGill or Concordia or equivalent).
    • Candidate must have a driving license.
    • Candidate shall be open to travel 3-4 times a year to tradeshows or to meet large customers outside Quebec.
