About this Opportunity


The Field Integrity Technologist is a member of the Integrity Management Team, whose mission is to promote an Integrity culture throughout the corporate operations such that all physical assets are designed, built, operated, and maintained safely and reliably.


Reporting to the Manager, Integrity Engineering, the primary responsibility of this position is to work with Grande Prairie Region Operations to plan required inspections at shutdowns, to assist in the installation, repair, or replacement of equipment and work with Operations' team on all required activities to support the Pressure Equipment Integrity Management (PEIM), Storage Tank Integrity Program (STIP) and Pipeline Integrity Management programs.

This position is based in Grande Prairie, AB.


Job Functions Will Involve:


  • Responsible for effective communication and implementation of the Company's integrity management programs
  • Instill the integrity values in the design and construction process for new and modified systems by participating in/contributing to DBM, HAZOP and/or MOC processes, conducting contractor, shop and site inspections and auditing test and QC activities
  • Support ongoing efforts to assure the quality of asset data
  • Assist with the development, measurement and tracking of KPI's for the integrity programs with the expectation to prevent incidents
  • Work with Operations and Maintenance Foremen to develop an annual budget for the integrity management programs including:
  • vessel inspections, servicing of PSVs and any specific monitoring/evaluation programs or surveys required
- repairs and alterations
- corrective actions

  • Support field facility turnarounds via job scope definition, field inspection, and repairs
  • Work closely with the Project Engineers, Owner's Inspectors, Operations, Maintenance and Third-Party Vendors to ensure that all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections, etc. affecting the Paramount assets are planned, coordinated, and executed using the Paramount Resources Ltd. work order management system in accordance with the relevant Integrity Program
  • Attend and participate in all required meetings/training pertaining to the field (e.g., planning, ERP etc.) to provide Integrity related input and direction
  • Support the Chief Inspector's activities at a field level, which could include the pressure equipment related incidents
  • Participate in regular Integrity and Foremen meetings to provide updates on ongoing activities
  • Participate in actions necessary to resolve any nonconformances (NCRs) and deficiencies as defined in the PEIM program
  • Support activities during Regulatory audits and subsequent actions to ensure continual compliance
  • Participate in the approved vendor audits performed as per the Vendor Audit Plan
  • Support Integrity Program continual improvement initiatives
  • Provide the support to Owner's Inspector or assume a role of Owner's Inspector on capital piping projects to ensure the following are conducted in accordance with Paramount Technical Specifications and Procedures:
  • hydrostatic testing of pressure piping or tubing,
- any other witness or inspection points, as instructed by a Paramount-approved Owner's Inspector

  • As instructed by Paramount's Senior Integrity Technologists, verify the condition of surplus equipment prior to its purchase or transfer from another Paramount location
  • Plan and execute planned and unplanned ILI inspections. Instruct inline inspection contractors as to Paramount procedures and requirements
  • Complete installation inspection of risers and pigging facilities
  • Hold pipeline compliance review meetings with area leadership
  • Work with material, chemical and service providers to implement and modify functionally appropriate integrity and corrosion management programs.
  • Ensure the chemical vendor sampling is done

Required Skills & Qualifications:


  • High school diploma with a minimum of 3 years of related industry experience
  • Postsecondary technologist diploma or equivalent
