Enkel is looking for a Sales Development Representative to grow the business through upselling and new client acquisition.

We started Enkel to disrupt the delivery of accounting services through the use of transformational cloud-based accounting technology. Today we provide managed accounting and reporting services to over 300 Canadian businesses and Not-for-Profit organizations. Enkel is expanding its presence across Canada with the goal of becoming Canada's most trusted Accounting-As-A-Service provider.

This is a tactical, execution-oriented role. Speed is important. This is an in-office role.


What your day looks like
Your primary goal will be to support monthly recurring revenue growth.


To do so you will:

  • Be the first point of contact for inbound leads to qualify them before they are taken through the sales process.
  • Obtain upselling opportunities from the Client Success team, understand client needs, and work with the delivery team through all stages of closing the opportunity.
  • Monitor client renewal dates and proactively reach out to clients in advance of the renewal date to review the existing scope of services and to review fee changes.
  • Draft the sales proposal (for upselling and new clients), obtaining the necessary inputs from team members, and ensuring that the appropriate follow up occurs after the proposal call.
  • Draft the engagement letter (for upselling and new clients) and send it to the Client once approved.
  • Follow up on outstanding engagement letters until they are signed.
  • Obtain Client account information, such as banking details for monthly payments.
  • Update the CRM (Hubspot) for changing account details.
  • Attend industry events and conferences as an Enkel representative, promoting Enkel's services.

What you bring

  • 3+ years of sales experience
  • Strong knowledge of accounting/finance is preferred
  • A passion for business and process improvement
  • Experience with CRM software
  • Wellorganized with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A commitment to customer service and to serving the needs of entrepreneurs in a variety of sectors

This role can be a hybrid or in-office role. Our office is located in Vancouver's vibrant downtown at 900 Howe Street.
