Job Description:

Position Purpose


The Asset Efficiency Manager works across the CHEP Canada business to shape the Retail Supply Chain operating model of the future.

Building the roadmap to enable our Retailers to automate their supply chains and delivering solutions that can help speed up and improve that process (Downstream Pallet, TPM models).

Ownership and accountability of the Strategic initiatives Manager Recovery (MR) and Low Volume Recovery (LVR), both as the owner of day-to-day delivery and strategic contribution to the Business Transformation.

This role will be responsible for, optimizing regional routing plans and delivering against cost and volume goals.

Major/Key Accountabilities


This role will work closely with most functions of CHEP including: Sales, Operations, Quality, Retail Supply Chain, Logistics, Planning and Finance.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and develop the MR Canadian program along with the Commercial Teams on both Retailer and Manufacturer sides of the business
  • Work closely with Operations and Supply Chain to identify MR Business opportunities which leverage and enhance our supply chain network
  • Manage and Lead the Canadian LVR program. Implement Best Business practices in all regions and drive costtoserve to best in class levels
  • Identifying gaps in performance KPI's and providing cost effective options for continuous business improvement
  • Sharing best practices and standardizing reporting between the teams; Identifying opportunities for standardization, input reduction, and less manual data handling
  • Identifying rote tasks and leveraging systems to automate where possible
  • Partnering with cross functional stakeholders to lead cost benefit studies and developing ad hoc business cases
  • Hire and oversee LVR driver's performance, manage carrier performance and negotiate as necessary
  • Create and maintain MR and LVR Components for S&OP to ensure accurate business planning as it relates to inflow / outflow for these areas
  • Optimising routes and collection program. Expand the Canadian LVR program. Implement worldclass technology (Team Haven etc.) to ensure CHEP Canada is leveraging its capabilities to the maximum
  • Exhibiting commitment to CHEP Canada Zero Harm values
  • Provide ongoing support to the Commercial Team both RSC and Customer Service

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant business analysis discipline (Business, Finance, Engineering, Operations or Supply Chain)
Experience

  • 35 years of analytical experience
  • 24 years of Leadership experience
  • 23 years of Logistics Experience
Skills and Knowledge

  • QlikView or Business Intelligence development experience
  • Experience working with cross functional teams
  • Six Sigma Green Belt
  • APICS, CSCMP, Supply Chain Council (SCOR) Certification or P. Log Certification
