looking to expand our team with a Social Media Specialist/Architectural Bookstore Librarian.

This unique multi-focused role is an exciting opportunity to utilize your design and customer service talents while gaining administrative experience.


Social Media Specialist & Architectural Bookstore Librarian

As an integral part of our boutique Toronto studio, your unique position will be responsible for supporting social media communications for Henriquez Partners Architects as whole while overseeing our new Architectural Bookstore in the heart of Mirvish Village.


You are a dynamic architecture and urban planning enthusiast who shares our optimistic belief that architecture has the potential to be a poetic expression of social justice with an ability to enrich local communities by integrating ethics and aesthetics.

Your aspirations and knowledge of urban matters and engaged communities will help guide and narrate our social media strategy.

Our new not-for-profit bookstore is integral to our desired community outreach and ties nicely to our social and communications strategy.


As a Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the planning, design and execution of our social media strategy.

Your aspirations and knowledge of urban matters and engaged communities guide and narrate engaging copy across all social platforms and toward collateral development.

You have experience crafting effective social media, designing thoughtful and engaging content, and interacting with audiences to grow followership.


As the Architectural Bookstore Librarian, you are the "face" of Henriquez in Toronto and the first person that all guests interact with upon arrival at our studio.

Your interest in architecture and design will help facilitate engaging interactions with customers and create a welcoming space. You will be responsible for day-to-day operations, answering questions, processing transactions, inventory control as well as general office administration.

Headquartered in Vancouver, this position is located in Toronto, where we have recently opened a new studio. GENERAL DUTIES:


  • Social Media Specialist:_
  • Developing unique and engaging content via various social media platforms including but not limited to Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn.
  • Monitoring, maintaining, and building social media databases.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of content to capture industry attention of the studio's capabilities and niche expertise.
  • Focusing on target markets and how best to reach these diverse audiences.
  • Supporting visual communication team for various award submissions and proposals
  • Bookstore Librarian:_
  • Responsible for bookstore inventory maintenance, bookstore vendor liaison and relationships, point of sale transaction processing and controls.
  • Devise innovative proposals for the promotion of the Bookstore among its institutional and individual clientele.
  • Develop and cultivate the Henriquez Partners Architects Bookstore's unique character and enhance its reputation at local and national levels.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the international book distribution market in order to make strategic selections of titles in specialized fields.
  • Connect inbound calls; manage and book inperson and virtual meetings; including computer, video conferencing and conference call system setup.
  • Coordinate staff remote working capabilities.
  • General office administration such as maintaining a COVID safe environment, office supplies, handling petty cash, upkeep of equipment/appliances and liaison with building management.
  • Manage and distribute mail/courier/messages.
  • Coordinate and arrange lunch and learns and social events.
  • Greet guests and create a welcoming environment where all feel comfortable in our studio and bookstore.

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary education; ideally a Bachelor and/or Master deg
