JL Metals, a customer focused leader in steel products manufacturing, located in Stoney Creek Ontario, manufactures and sells high quality flat rolled steel products to customers throughout North America.

We have an immediate requirement in our sales department for an energetic, customer service focused individual, willing to learn new customer development opportunities through prospecting and quote generation activities.

Responsibilities:

Willing to learn and acquire a general understanding around the diverse steel industry.

Maintain the highest level of integrity and provide exceptional customer service through all client interactions.

Gain an understanding of all input costs associated with customer orders.

Achieve a working knowledge of plant capabilities, processes and services.

Develop through working experience, an understanding of steel and steel products manufacturing.

Daily prospecting/cold calling in an effort to develop new customers and expand brand awareness.

Daily preparation of quotes and estimates for existing and potential customers.

Requirements:

Previous success in a customer service client focused role is an asset.

Exceptionally personable and friendly demeanor.

Possesses excellent communication skills written and verbal.

Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask in a fast paced office environment.

Proficient user of Excel, Word and Outlook as it relates to the position.

Previous experience working in a metals manufacturing or industrial environment is an asset.
