The Jokey Group consists of 16 production sites in 13 countries, employing over 2,500 employees and supplying customers in over 80 countries.

We manufacture high quality injection moulded plastic buckets and lids for food and non-food items.

Using monoplastics, we aim to decrease our environmental impact, and strengthen our contributions towards the development of a sustainable and circular economy.

We are looking for an
Area Sales Manager to join our Jokey North America team. The position is remote and will require travel. Office hours are Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm EST.


POSITION RESPONSABILITES:

  • Prospect new business in Eastern Ontario, QC, NL, PE, NS, and NB by networking, cold calling, advertising and other means of generating interest from potential customers;
  • Identity potential customers and the decision makers within the organization;
  • Prepare quotations with both commercial and technical contents;
  • Report sales/field activity reports to National Sales Managers;
  • Develop rapport with new customers and set sales targets;
  • Followup on orders to ensure a timely delivery by working closely with internal sales and production teams to keep customers informed of every phase of production;
  • Manage existing client relationships within territory;
  • Make presentations and make recommendations of JNA solutions and services that meet or predict clients' future needs;
  • Prepare territory sales forecast on quarterly/yearly basis or as required;
  • Travel to potential and existing territory customers including at least three infield visits per week;
  • Attend tradeshows as appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Fluent in English (Bilingual preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience of outside sales dealing with packaging products
  • Strong background in selling plastics packaging solutions to customers
  • Establish contracts in the target markets and proven sales track record
  • Ability to travel throughout territory and to Goderich facility
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office
  • Proven communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Strong presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills
  • Good customer relations skills
