The Sub-System Lead Engineer (SSLE) is responsible for leading the development definition and documentation of requirements for applicable sub-systems or Agile Release Train (ART) solutions.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain Behavior Technical Specifications (BTS) with a focus on Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) principles ensuring customer impact is well understood li Leads Triad Meetings with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication quick decision-making and continuous improvement throughout the development process li Provides technical Leadership and mentorship for thermal control Systems Maintain Interface Requirements in DOORS nd collaborate with Feature System Architects (FSAs) to ensure requirement structure intent align with program objectives li Develop system block diagrams per MBSE principles in IBM Rhapsody Generate Block Definition Diagrams mandatory for CICD nd other supporting diagrams i e Use-Case Diagrams Activity Diagrams etc li Create maintain Solution FMEAs Subsystem FMEAs AFMEA Algorithm in the area of responsibility Support DFMEA PFMEA development by collaborating with software hardware teams to address failure modes Ensure awareness of hardware failures Sev 9 10 within the SSLE s area of responsibility Work with Controls Software Engineers to ensure designs implementations comply with requirements Manage sub-system/solution requirements using Features/Stories in Jira Support root cause analysis integrate resolutions into updated new requirements Assist develop On-Board Diagnostics OBD regulatory requirements Support roll-down safety information from systems/system safety teams Define maintain calibration requirements part BTS/SDD Participate Scrum meetings Iteration Planning Iteration Review Daily Stand-ups Program Increment Ceremonies Engage cross-functional teams Product Teams FSAs other SSLE s amp; System Engineers aligning strategies solutions Strong analytical problem-solving skills including ability make independent high-impact decisions Experience Requirements Engineering automotive aerospace related industries Knowledge BDD MBSE principles Familiarity Jira managing software-related requriements Ability facilitate cross-functional collaboration lead discussions stakeholders Experience Agile methodologies SAFe practices Strong documentation communication skills distributed cross-functional team environment
