The Position:

The

Specialist, Retail Experience & In-Store Merchandising, in conjunction with the Manager of Retail Experience, will be responsible for developing and executing yearly merchandising plans for Samsung's Consumer Electronics business across Canada. The primary focus of the services will be merchandising support, retail project management, and fixture development and execution.


About the Role:

Retail Project Management - 60%

  • Assist merchandising lead with the development of yearly strategies to gain alignment from Samsung's leadership group
  • Collaborate with 3rd party vendors to create retail experience solutions that align with Samsung's divisional goals & objectives.
  • Create and present design proposals to both internal and external stakeholders for approval
  • Facilitate endtoend project management for retail projects (IE. ShopinShop build
  • Collaborate with relevant Samsung departments (including marketing and product team) to deliver a consistent brand and product message for all shops, fixtures, displays and POP
  • Coordinate with Samsung account teams as project owner to deliver seamless execution within their channel
  • Collaborate with Field Marketing team leads to share launch plans and ensure understanding of merchandising solutions
Financial Management - 20%

  • Prepare project quote requests & submit plan proposals (PPs) to Samsung's system
  • Collaborate with BQMS Finance team to facilitate bidding of projects
  • Assist lead with monthly budget forecasting and accruals
Merchandising Support - 20%

  • Support retail experience leads in managing maintenance programs/open tickets.
  • Monitor, evaluate compliance and completion rates and collaborate with FMR analyst teams to close out open tickets
  • Assist retail experience leads in validating installation compliance for project rollouts
  • Act as a liaison with vendor partners to rectify issues/challenges
  • Maintain display asset tracker/database

Who we're looking for:


  • Postsecondary education from a recognized college or university required
  • 5+ years in a fastpaced retail environment with merchandising knowledge
  • Strong leader and communicator with an unwavering devotion to create an outstanding customer experience
  • Proven business acumen and project management skills
  • Intermediate or Advanced MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Consumer Electronics market familiarity in Canada
