Reporting directly to the Director of International Programs,
the International Program Manager - Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning has the primary duty to plan, monitor, evaluate and report on cash and non-cash projects to ensure a positive, transformational impact on the lives of children with disabilities.

You will be leading the planning, monitoring and evaluation of a portfolio of projects by partner.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Manages a portfolio of partners (cash and noncash programs)
  • Plans, implements and monitors resultsbased management and performance measurement, including developing results chain frameworks, indicator selection, target setting, evaluation, analysis and reporting
  • Informs strategic project, program and country planning and development
  • Plans, monitors and evaluates annual and multiyear projects
  • Conducts project monitoring and evaluation partner visits to our partners in Africa
  • Establishes program evaluation plans and activities to drive effective decision making and inform strategic planning for both cash and noncash resources
  • Facilitates and serves as a project liaison for externally managed evaluations, as needed, advising on methodologies and providing technical guidance, reviewing and providing input on evaluation reports.
  • Identifies partner needs related to noncash resources, monitors and evaluate impact.
  • Works collaboratively with all members of the International Programs team and in support of the Director, International Program, and the leadership team
  • Works with the Director, IP and the IP team to develop and execute strategies to promote continuous improvement of international programs through implementation of lessons learned and best practices
  • Shares best practices and learnings within Hope and Healing and with partners.
  • Participates in joint internal initiatives with the managers and staff of other departments as needed.
  • Supports the annual budget allocation and strategic planning process
  • Supports the submission of concept notes and proposals (e.g. narrative, work plans, logical frameworks, budgets etc.)
  • Collaborates with marketing regarding offers and reporting back to donors
  • Liaises with external international development organizations and other NGO networks to foster learning opportunities and sharing best practices.
  • Perform other jobrelated responsibilities as assigned
  • Master's degree or relevant experience in international development, disability studies, social science, public health or other related discipline
  • 3+ years of relevant, practical experience in international development and/or humanitarian sector in a MEAL position
  • Experience in resultsbased management and performance measurement, including developing results chain frameworks, indicator selection, target setting, data collection, analysis, reporting, database management, and developing M&E systems
  • Project management accreditation is an asset
  • Monitoring and evaluation training (e.g. IPDET) is an asset
  • Disability and inclusive development training is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate building and maintaining authentic relationships with partners
  • Data analysis (qualitative and/or quantitative)
  • Knowledge of experience with different evaluation methodologies
  • Knowledge of budgeting and basic accounting principles
  • Knowledge of communitybased inclusive development and disability
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Working conditions and other requirements:


  • Hybrid office environment located in Richmond Hill Ontario
  • Travel to developing countries required (typically onetotwoweek duration and sometimes on short notice)
  • Must be flexible in working hours to accommodate needs of international partners (e.g. working in different time zones)
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada and obtain travel visas as necessary
