Position Overview:
Requirements:
- Postsecondary diploma/degree;
- 25 years' experience in compliance;
- Financial compliance and financial services industry experience preferred;
- Legal training preferred;
- Ability to read and understand legislation;
- Ability to translate legislative requirements into company policy and procedure; and
- An understanding of the legal system as it affects business.

Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Compliance Associate/Officer:
- Ensure Company's compliance with legislation and guidelines;
- Develop, maintain and revise the Company's policies and procedures;
- Provide recommendations for the enhancement/clarification of compliance policies, procedures, practices and/or systems changes necessary to support ongoing compliance;
- Report all breaches/potential breaches of legislation and guidelines;
- Keep uptodate with regulatory changes;
- Submit reports to regulators;
- Assist with responding to inquiries from OSFI and other regulators;
- Demonstrate compliance with legislation and guidelines to the Internal Auditor;
- Liaise with the Internal Auditor in relation to compliance matters and timely implementation of all audit recommendations related to compliance;
- Independently review the Company and thirdparty account opening documents;
- Open new accounts with custodian;
- Ensure client account information is uptodate;
- Develop and deliver training for the organization to update employees on policy changes and raise awareness of regulatory requirements and compliance policies;
- Act as an educational resource regarding applicable compliance matters and questions; and
- Other responsibilities as required.
Personal Development:
- Take relevant courses; and
- Attend industry seminars and talks.

This position is an in office position with the option to participate in our hybrid remote work schedule after the probationary period.
