    The Corporate Sales & Activation Representative is primarily responsible for managing and sourcing new corporate revenue for the Ottawa Black Bears, the Belleville Senators, and the Sensplex's corporate partners.

    This individual will work to fulfill all aspects of their clients' sponsorship portfolio. Accountable for hitting sales targets against all three brands, this individual will provide superior client service to help partners generate powerful marketing programs at a local and regional level while developing and delivering contractual sponsorship obligations for Ottawa Black Bears home games & programs.

    This role will work with our Corporate Partnerships team along with the Vice-President, Business Operations for the Ottawa Black Bears.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Manage all assigned partner relationships, execution of all contract deliverables
    • Responsible for prospecting and developing new targeted business relationship. Prospecting may include cold calling, Telephone introductions and networking events
    • Responsible for the sale of corporate sponsorship and adverting
    • Initiates regular outbound phone activity, establishes working relationships and drives revenue with:
      • Businesses and corporations in specific area/category of focus
      • Former customers
      • Net New Customers
    • Develop and foster strong partner relationships and deliver outstanding customer service
    • Develop specific client service plans for each assigned corporate partner account
    • Develop and customize year-end summaries for partners at the local and regional levels
    • Work with other departments to maximize cross-selling opportunities, develop new and existing properties and share new ideas
    • Attend weekly/biweekly meetings to review corporate partner inventories, fulfillment status, opportunities, new programs and department goals and objectives
    • Maintain close communication with partners through weekly/biweekly calls and meetings with clients
    • Ability to work efficiently with both internal departments and corporate partners to deliver on sponsorship execution
    • Work with Finance on a monthly reconciliation of outstanding invoices
    • Maintain and update all partner communications in CRM Salesforce platform and Kore inventory management program. Also required to maintain contract status documents housed in Sales Force.
    • Required to work evenings and weekends, dependent on game schedule and special events of the Ottawa Black Bears.
    • Other duties as assigned by the Vice President, Business Operations, Ottawa Black Bears and Vice President, Corporate Partnerships & Activations of Capital Sports & Entertainment

    Performance Evaluation Metrics

    • Growth – Incremental revenue targets set out in individual employee contract to act as guide to sales revenue targets
    • Customer Satisfaction – Annual review with corporate partner client controllers to assess client/customer satisfaction as it pertains to the day-to-day expectation, management and strategic performance of Individual.

    Team Obligations

    • Manage client accounts and ensures contractual obligations are satisfied in a timely and efficient manner. Contractual obligations may include: signage (both static and electronic), client displays and sampling, publication advertising, broadcast spots, game-related activities, special events, special properties and promotions
    • Responsible for executing annual sponsorship reviews for each key client
    • Provide clients with creative direction/suggestions, artwork specifications and timelines
    • Responsible for evaluating and reviewing key client activity and providing recommendations
    • Provide clients with summaries of sponsorship events and opportunities as they take place
    • Research sponsor direction and initiatives (co-branding/leveraging opportunities)
    • Collaborate with the Communications department to increase awareness of key client programs through PR activities and press releases

    Job Requirements

    • University or College Marketing graduate, or related field
    • 2 to 3 years previous marketing experience
    • Self-motivated, results oriented
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, bilingualism (French & English) an asset
    • Able to work independently, as well as in a team setting
    • Excellent presentation skills and proficiency at Microsoft PowerPoint, Word & Excel
    • Strong organizational and customer service skills
    • Well-organized and responsible with an aptitude in problem-solving
