Dryden, Smith & Head Planning Consultants Ltd. is a planning and land development consulting firm that caters to small and mid-sized developers. We are currently seeking a highly-motivated individual to work on a variety of planning and land development projects.


Position duties:

• Provide technical support and assistance to Planning staff
• Prepare, design and edit planning drawings using CAD software
• Prepare presentation materials using MS Office
• Conduct research into planning and land development matters
• Liaison with clients and Municipal staff
• Assist in the preparation of planning and land development reports
• Assist with company marketing and promotion (on occasion)
• Field visits to inspect/monitor client properties (when necessary)
• Attendance at meetings (when necessary)

Qualifications:

• Postsecondary education in Urban Planning, Planning Technology or closely related field
• Relevant work experience is preferable but not necessary, as the company is willing to train
• Proficiency in computer aided design (CAD), GIS and MS Office is a must
• Knowledge of land development process is required
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written form
• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working on numerous projects at the same time

Pay will commensurate with experience and ability.

Part time hours will be considered.
