Duties:


Under the co-supervision of a Geneticist (AAFC) and a Molecular Plant Pathologist at the hosting university, carry out a research project on genetic mapping of clubroot resistance genes in Brassica species.

The duties include searching and reviewing literature, planning and executing experiments, analyzing trial data and preparing progress reports and manuscripts.

Education:


Currently enrolled or will be enrolled by the date of appointment in a PhD program at an accredited post-secondary university in one of the following specializations: Biology, Microbiology, Plant Pathology, or Plant Science.

Degree equivalency


Experience:

Experience in working with plant
- pathogen interaction.

Experience in preparation of manuscripts for publication.

  • In the context of student recruitment in the Federal Public Service, the experience can be acquired through the studies, work experience, or volunteer activities.
