Shift:

Reporting to the Manager, the Mental Health Social Worker II will carry out his/her responsibilities as a member of a multi-disciplinary team offering clinical treatment to children/youth who are experiencing emotional/behavioral/social problems and their families.

This position involves working closely with the school boards, Windsor-Essex Children's Aid Society, and other relevant community service providers.

The position is responsible for providing direct clinical services in the areas of individual, group, and family treatment, within the Outpatient Counselling and Therapy team or the Intensive Treatment Services program, including the development of a family-focused treatment plan, service coordination, and consultation with school personnel and community providers.

The Mental Health SW II is responsible for delivery on care consistent with the vision and values of the hospital and the standards of relevant professional organizations.

The Mental Health SW II complies with the Occupational Health and Safety standards for the hospital and is proactive in promoting a safe work environment.

Minimum 3 years' experience working with children experiencing significant social, emotional and behavioral needs – preferred
General good health and a level of fitness appropriate for the demands of the position
Ability to develop and maintain constructive working relationships with other community partners
§ Excellent communication skills with the command of the French language considered an asset.
