    Position: Senior Financial Analyst- Full Time

    Southbridge Health Care LP (Southbridge) is currently looking to add a talented Senior Financial Analyst to our amazing corporate finance team at our head office in Cambridge, ONReporting to the Senior Manager Operations Finance, the SFA will work on a team responsible for the financial reporting of Long-Term Care and Retirement homes. The SFA will be involved at various depths with financial reporting, regulatory remittances, accounting, treasury, compliance, and audit.

Southbridge's mission is to operate a best-in-class portfolio of care homes and retirement communities that consistently deliver excellence in care and services in an economically sustainable manner.

    Responsibilities:

    Leading the financial accounting for select Southbridge properties, the SFA will partner with the Executive Directors, Operations Vice Presidents, and the finance team, to ensure overall financial success for their portfolio of homes. From the top to the bottom line, the SFA is responsible for the financial results of the homes in their portfolio, having complete oversight to provide the corporate management team accurate and timely results to aide in decision making.

  • Work alongside various departments and facilities to complete the monthly full cycle accounting for Long Term Care and Retirement facilities.
  • Monitor monthly performance metrics, conduct variance analysis and ensure timely proper reporting to the corporate reporting team.
  • Participate in the annual budgeting process
  • Participate in monthly results calls with the properties.
  • Analyze and submit regulatory and tax compliance to all provincial/local regulations and laws and regulations relating to the properties.
  • Participate in the ARR audit and assist with other reporting for long term care homes to the MOLTC.
  • Participate in the interim and year end audit process; including reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and liaison with auditors.
  • Assist in the successful onboarding and implementation of an ERP system.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of processes and procedures for the team, Long Term Care and Retirement facilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications:

  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) preferred.
  • Experience with full cycle accounting.
  • An in depth understanding of the senior care continuum.
  • Understanding of accounting and tax requirements for Canadian senior housing companies, including in depth understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • High level understanding of fiscal management.
