Job Summary
As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible to produce machined parts within specifications on the drawing, in accordance with Metform quality standards and operating practices.
Maintaining a clean and safe work area, operating equipment in a safe and productive manner by being organized and self-motivated with the ability to pay close attention to detail and prioritize your workload to meet production demands.
Responsibilities:
- Receive drawings and material from storage area.
- Read blueprints to determine optimal method of production.
- Program part (Fanuc G code) on the machine using optimum speeds and feeds.
- Obtain correct tooling and setup machine for production.
- Machine parts according to drawing, check quality and quantity of parts.
- Maintain machinery, tooling, etc. inform Shop Supervisor of repairs required.
- Keep work areas clean and tidy.
- Any additional tasks as requested by Supervisor or Manager.
Qualifications
- 3 5 years minimum experience of working in a fastpaced machine shop environment.
- 35 years experience with programming and setting up multiple operations on CNC equipment, specifically Lathes with Fanuc control.
- Experience on Daewoo / Puma / Doosan Machines is an asset.
- Knowledge of different measuring instruments and measurement techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, or schematics.
- Previous experience with overhead crane and forklift is an asset.

$28.00-$32.00 per hour

Experience:
- basic measurement tool (Micrometer/Vernier): 3 years (preferred)
- CNC lathe setup and operating: 3 years (required)
- On machine CNC programming (G code): 3 years (required)
