Compensation & Benefits Analyst
Reporting to the Manager, Total Rewards this is a remote work from home opportunity which supports the Total Rewards leaders, project managers and consultants in developing and implementing Western's total rewards strategy, including compensation, benefits, rewards and recognition programs.
Here is what a typical day looks like
- Assisting consultants in designing, implementing and continuous improvement of all Westerns total rewards programs
- Supporting consultants in the preparation of data for Total Rewards annual projects
- Contributing to the daytoday administration of total rewards processes, such as RRSP contributions, and benefits billing
- Researching and providing reports and recommendations for process optimization, including information flow, analytics, tools, and systems to support business objectives
- Acting as a liaison between Administration, Payroll and Compensation teams for overlapping responsibilities and deliverables
- Participating in market benchmarking exercises, assisting consultants in data analysis and reporting, actively contributing to recommendations development
- Participating in Western's annual cycles such as Merit, Annual Bonuses and Total Compensation Statements
- Representing the Total Rewards team in Onboarding new hires: addressing new hire queries, refreshing team communications, and offering employee onboarding feedback to consultants for continuous improvement
- Owning the maintenance of the Rewards and Recognition Platforms
- Preparing monthly/quarterly and annual metrics
The value you bring
- 2+ years supporting a Compensation & Benefits / Total Rewards team
- Working towards CCP an asset, not a requirement
- Postsecondary diploma or degree in Human Resources, Financial Analysis, or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
