Overview
ASC Public Relations is a leading, Toronto-based, full-service, public relations agency with top retail, luxury goods, beauty and lifestyle clients.
Our Assistant Coordinators/Interns are full-time, eager-to-learn PR professionals who collaborate and provide assistance to our Account Managers, Executives and Coordinators to deliver outstanding results while learning valuable time management and communication skills in the Public Relations industry.
Overarching Communication and Core PR Expertise
- Provides outstanding organizational skills and a proven ability to manage multiple projects of various scope within a team environment
- Positively contributes to the daytoday account activity and provides administrative assistance to Account Managers, Executives and Coordinators as required (i.e. RSVP and reservation confirmations, booking travel, etc.)
- Assists and performs daily media monitoring and supports members of the account team as required
- Demonstrates emerging PR skills and commitment to growth development
- Coordinates and manages sample pulls and maintains product inventory
- Provides event management support, with guidance from Account Executives and Coordinators
- Trusted, positive, professional communications advisor committed to delivering exceptional results
Business Knowledge and Client Service
- Ongoing knowledge of news and industry developments that influence agency clients, sectors and target audiences
- Delivers assigned work in a professional and timely manner
- Sources and negotiates supplier costs
Leadership and Coaching
- Self motivated who effectively works independently with mínimal supervision
- Interacts with team members in a professional manner
- Brings positive energy to the team and agency environment
- Cooperative, reliable, dependable and enthusiastic
- Willingness to go "above and beyond" to conduct all tasks to support account teams, where assigned and requested
- Manage and maintain common area (kitchen, storage, etc) on a daily basis
- Takes direction well and applies constructive feedback to learn and grow
- Positive brand ambassador while attending external events
Creativity and Writing Expertise
- Demonstrates writing potential and interest in growth development
Media and Social/Digital Expertise
- Stays current on emerging trends and continued education of the social media universe including YouTube, Snapchat, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.
- Assists team with daily/weekly media and social media monitoring including collating, analyzing and evaluating media coverage
- Support team with media requests to help secure campaign coverage
Reports to:
Account Manager
Term: 4 months, Part-time
Hours: 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday, In-office
*This is a paid position

- Toronto, ON M5R 3P8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Education:
