The Role

Working as part of the Real Estate team, this position will manage a portfolio of commercial properties from single tenant to multi-tenant buildings.

Ensuring the properties are ran effectively, while directly supporting the relationship between landlord and tenant will be the primary focus of the role.

All facets of property management will be covered from tenant onboarding, building management, reporting etc.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain positive tenant relationships as the first point of contact regarding rent collection, property maintenance concerns and scheduled property visits.
Perform routine property walkthroughs and collaborate with other internal parties on property needs.
Manage preventative maintenance and building improvement projects while utilizing both internal and external vendors and trades.
Tracking and authorization of daytoday occupancy expenses while regularly reviewing against property budget
Preparation of monthly property financial and operational reports
Assist in the preparation of annual property budgets and expense reconciliations.
Other duties as discussed and assigned

Requirements:

Prior work experience in residential or commercial property management is preferred
General knowledge of basic accounting principles
Prior experience working with Yardi system is considered an asset
Valid Class 5 driver's license
Clean criminal record check
