Reporting to Manager, Accounts Payable, the Senior AP Analyst will be responsible for settling the invoices, our Corporate Office invoices, verifying the supplier invoice requests keyed in at various homes/locations, processing payments and other supporting AP activities.


This position will be located at our Head Office in Markham, Ontario and will have flexibility for both remote and in-office work based on our hybrid work model.

Accountabilities

  • Process the PO and the Non-PO invoices for our corporate facilities and review the supplier invoice requests submitted by the facilities for data entry accuracy.
  • Verify that the coding and data entry of supplier invoice requests are free from data entry errors.
  • Create settlement runs (payment runs) for suppliers and settle the invoices that have reached their payment terms via EFTs, cheque, ad hoc payments as per the payment calendar.
  • Assist in settling utilities, rents and benefits invoices paid via preauthorized payment (PAP) or through bill payee.
  • Manage the AP mailbox and responding to supplier inquiries regarding invoicing procedures, payment status etc.
  • Monitor and respond to the queries from the facilities raised through our Pulse ticketing system raised through Pulse ticketing system.
  • Provide support for the monthend activities by running aging reports, reconciling supplier statements, sending reminders to the approvers.
  • Assist in implementing new procedures and aid with testing and creating SOPs.
  • Liaison with internal stakeholders such as Procurement, IT, home admin staff to ensure timely processing of invoices.
Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma/certificate in finance or accounting field.
  • 35 years of Accounts Payable experience.
  • Experience with Workday will be strongly preferred.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a highvolume and fast paced environment.
  • Team player with ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with midlevel Excel skills.
