Description
Under the project director and/or team lead's supervision, the project manager manages multiple architectural projects simultaneously and ensures the collaboration of both internal and external team members to meet requirements regarding time, budget, quality and more. He/she/they also provide administrative support to allow technical team members to focus on the design and architectural components. The project manager serves as the point of contact for stakeholders and should be diplomatic and respectful in interactions with clients and external collaborators.

**Responsibilities**:

- Reviewing project contracts and preparation of documentation and administration for project commencement.
- Report writing including analysis, planning and definition of scope, goals and outcomes.
- Schedule, cost and risk management including creation and analysis of project schedules and budgets to ensure client needs are met.
- Collaborating with the project director or team lead, as well as manage internal progress distributing deliverables to the team in accordance with the schedule.
- Acting as point of contact for clients, subconsultants and contractors. This will include chairing meetings as necessary, as well as coordinating site access, reporting on progress and receiving feedback to ensure client satisfaction.
- Quality assurance of all submitted documents to ensure compliance with internal and external standards and guidelines including preliminary non-technical reviews of plans and specs.
- Management of construction administration including preparing documents such as change orders, change notices, site instructions, site reports and payment certificates, as well as attending site inspections and construction meetings as needed.

**Skills and competencies**:

- Fluency in English, both written and spoken is required. Fluency in French, both written and spoken is an asset but not required.
- Strong understanding of construction and labour costs related to budget management.
- Organization and time management skills for the prioritization of deliverables when managing multiple projects.
- In-depth understanding of MS Projects, MS Suite and Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat will be an asset.
- General understanding of AutoCAD and Revit is an asset.
- Driving license (Class 5) - ability to travel without restriction is required for the attendance of site inspections.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Be enthusiastic, versatile and proactive.

**Education**:
Certificate in project management (PMP) or relevant field.

**Experience**:

- Minimum of three years of project management experience, preferably in architecture, engineering or construction.
- Experience in project administration, including estimation, procurement and construction contract administration.
- Proven skills in management of resources.
- Existing government clearance is considered an asset.

**Compensation**:

- Full time, on-site, permanent, 40h/week.
- Salary: $80,000 - $100,000
- Benefits (group insurance and pension fund).
- Three weeks of paid vacation per year.
- Additional statutory holidays (QC/ON).
