    As an On-Call Rigger, you'll work exclusively at Cirque du Soleil headquarters in Montreal. As an on-call employee, you'll enjoy flexibility: no fixed schedules or binding obligations.     Reporting to the Head of the Rigging Department, the Rigger is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of studio activities:- Ensure the safety of artists during training sessions;- Detect and report unsafe environments, facilities and practices, and suggest alternatives;- Ensure compliance with established protocols, standards and rules (studio, health and safety, etc.) relating to the use of equipment;- Handle rigging equipment during training sessions;- Assemble and dismantle acrobatic and technical equipment and apparatus;- Inspect and repair acrobatic and technical equipment and apparatus;- Read and understand building specifications, such as those for creative studios;- Rescue management skills;- Respect the Studio's training, artistic and technical activities and schedules;- Work closely with other departments to meet all user requirements;- Maintain a professional relationship with users and studio staff;- Ensure the cleanliness of the infrastructure and equipment;- Perform all other related tasks.

    You possess the following educational, professional, and technical skills:- College diploma (or equivalent) in show or theater production (or equivalent work experience);- Two years' experience as a show rigging technician;- E.T.C.P. certification an asset;- General technical knowledge of rigging equipment;- General understanding of all technical aspects of a show;- Ability to work at heights in a sustained and safe manner is essential (Work at Heights certification required);- Good physical condition;- Ability to assimilate basic mathematical concepts;- Good communication skills;- Flexibility, autonomy and team spirit;- Ability to adapt to unforeseen circumstances and to work under pressure;- Ability to work as part of a team and a strong sense of customer service;- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications in the Windows environment;- Fluency in spoken and written French and English;- Availability to work flexible hours;- Ability to operate machinery such as forklifts and aerial work platforms.
