    Job Title: Metering Coordinator Job ID: PL Location: Vancouver, BCOverview:The Administrative Assistant completes administrative tasks to optimize the capacity of management and staff in support of achieving the business group's goals. What you will be doing:
    • Produces service orders for a variety of programs and coordinates the generation of work orders.
    • Carries out tasks related to contract/warranty management by performing duties such as generating security tokens on the manufacturer's website for authorized merchandise returns and coordinating with storekeepers to recall meters.
    • Responds to queries originating in other departments regarding meter exchanges, readings and related billing issues. Determines whether requested changes in SAP are necessary and adjusts meter data accordingly in order to enable staff from other departments who have restricted system access to complete their transactions in SAP.
    • Responds to queries originating in other departments regarding attributes and exchanges of metering transformers, check meters, range extenders/routers and related billing issues. Determines whether database adjustment(s) and/or a field investigation is warranted in each case and initiates accordingly.
    • Reviews specific types of transactions that are flagged on exception reports to determine whether transactions reflect errors such as system-generated errors, errors in meter movement and incorrect billing multipliers; performs duties such as analyzing existing records and contacting appropriate sources to confirm actual meter activity and accuracy of data. Addresses confirmed errors by determining and implementing the appropriate fixes such as data entry corrections, requesting corrective action from other departments, raising investigation orders, etc.
    • Reviews reporting and other data processes for completion and accuracy. Verifies integrity of data and system operation through review and follow-up of error reports, particularly during system upgrades, liaising with systems specialists as necessary. Identifies opportunities and makes recommendations to improve the accuracy and integrity of meter and metering equipment computerized records. Participates in the implementation of new or revised IT systems related to revenue meters and metering equipment by performing duties such as recommending scope of IT project work, providing input from a user perspective during user interface development, and carrying out user testing. Provides first-level troubleshooting for system errors and refers to others any systems-related problems or
    • Exchanges meter activity information with internal sources and provides to external sources basic meter data, addresses, account numbers, operational attributes, time on test, and billing multipliers. Produces ad hoc reports on meter data for staff and managers.
    • Coordinates Measurement Canada meter dispute requests by: preparing and dispatching work order to retrieve meter; coordinating schedule for meter exchange with Measurement Canada and field crews if required; preparing meter and required information for testing by Measurement Canada; reviewing and entering results into SAP; and processing testing charges to customer billing accounts.
    • Reviews Meter & Metering Transformer Reports (MMTRs) from Meter Technicians to ensure accurate billing multipliers in SAP. Validates MMTR data with Meter Shop as required. Sends MMTR data to Revenue Metering for processing.
    • Provides administrative support to Meter Operations by performing such duties as: investigating and preparing accounting entries to correct allocation of costs or payments; responding to vendor/contractor invoice enquiries; reviewing, reconciling and processing employee expense claims and external resource invoices for management approval; processing documentation for the acquisition and disposal of meter and network related equipment; preparing MRs and tracking and arranging safety and technical training for Meter Operations.
    • Performs duties of a minor nature related to the above duties that do not affect the rating of the job.
    What you must have:
    • Some knowledge of material logistics, inventory management, planning and control, material return procedures.
    • Knowledge of the company's business.
    • Knowledge of Measurement Canada.
    • Knowledge of data analysis sufficient to identify trends and propose solutions.
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
    • Ability to prepare reports and process data for maintenance, repair or installation of meters and network equipment.
    • Ability to organize, schedule expedite and dispatch work.
    • Ability to keyboard with speed and accuracy.
    • Ability to process volumes of detailed data with accuracy.
    • Ability to review, process and/or correct invoices, apply account coding etc
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of software, with knowledge of Excel sufficient to create pivot tables and VLookups.
    • Knowledge of dispatching and work management tools
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
    • Good interpersonal skills in order to develop and maintain effective working relationships with systems stakeholders.
    • Knowledge of SAP
    • Ability to organize and prioritize own workload in order to complete work in a timely fashion.
