STATUS:

Full-time**
START DATE:Immediate*****: The Manager of Clinical Services is a member of the Leadership Team and represents the vision, mission and values of the Listowel Wingham Hospitals Alliance (LWHA).

The Manager of Clinical Services works in collaboration with staff, professional staff, patients/families, and the members of the Leadership and Senior

Executive Teams. This position is responsible for managing the day to day clinical operations of the LWHA

Surgical Services and Ambulatory Care Programs as well as the Listowel Emergency Department.

The Manager utilizes systems and controls, effective leadership skills/behaviours, and change management strategies to achieve expected standards of quality, efficiency and safety in the care of people served by the Alliance.


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Masters preparation preferred
  • 5 years' experience of progressive leadership in acute care including previous management experience

EFFORT:


  • Minimal physical effort
  • Extensive degree of mental effort and analysis

ABILITES:


  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous quality improvement and understanding of quality improvement theory/methodologies
  • Experience with leading investigations
  • Experience with managing patient complaints
  • Experience with chairing and leading committees
  • Knowledge of LWHA's patient feedback processes
  • Knowledge of Accreditation Canada process
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with patient partners and implement patient centered initiatives to improve patient experience
  • Knowledge of LEAN principles, demonstrated leadership skills
  • Knowledge of applicable legislation and professional standards
  • Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to build relationships, engage team members, and manage conflict effectively
  • Strong organizational skills, demonstrated skill in financial analysis and management
  • Demonstrated skill in program development, implementation and evaluation
  • Experience in successful people management including mentoring and performance management
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to learn, teach, monitor, update and utilize all aspects of a safety reporting computer program
  • Demonstrated success in implementation of patient safety initiatives; experience with data analysis, report generation, root cause analysis




HOURS OF WORK:
37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday with on-call duty as required
