    Job title: Assistant Buyer

    Description

    Procurement Specialist


    This is a hybrid role that can be based in either Harrisburg, PA or Clearwater, FL. The successful candidate must be located within 60 miles of either office location.


    Key Responsibilities



    • Purchase incoming merchandise as requested to ensure timely delivery and optimal inventory levels.

    • Maintain accurate inventory records across all warehouse locations to prevent stock outs and expedite deliveries when necessary.

    • Collaborate with the purchasing team to maintain stable supply chains and resolve shipping problems as they arise.

    • Issue stocking and special purchase orders as required and ensure correctness on orders for all branches.

    • Assist in maintaining supplier price, delivery, and quality expectations and elevate when appropriate.

    • Help to manage the inventory by conducting regular stock balances, transfers, ordering, etc. as requested.

    • Collaborate with warehouses and vendors to resolve shipping issues and overages.

    • Interact with marketing teams to produce monthly flyers by providing product feedback, promotions, pricing, etc. in absence of PM.

    • Correspond with various departments and vendor partners via phone and email as needed.

    • Interact with inside and outside sales teams to answer questions and resolve problems via phone and/or email.

    • Correspond with vendors via phone or email.

      • Requirements



      • Minimum Associate's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience in purchasing of finished goods is preferred.

      • Minimum 5 years of relevant technical experience in a professional office setting or degree equivalent is required.

      • Strong background in procurement, marketing, or sales is essential.
